Revisions on Prepper Inventory/ Supplies after the 2020 pandemic

Things we used up regularly:

  • Sugar
  • Rice
  • Potatoes
  • Milk
  • Tea/ Drink Mixes(Gatorade and Lemonade)
  • Lemon and Lime Juices
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Storage containers and bags from packing new supplies
  • Toilet Paper and Baby wipes
  • Soap
  • Peanut Butter
  • Oils and Butter
  • Nuts-Walnut, Pecan, Peanut, Almond, Pistachio and cashew
Things the stores ran out of:

  • Meat(we went vegetarian but we want to have some for emergencies and for barter)
  • Toilet Paper
  • Paper Towels
  • Baby Wipes
  • Trash bags
  • Dairy products
  • Flour, Sugar
  • Peanut Butter
  • Bread
  • Yogurt
Things to 'Put Back' or have more of:

  • Bulk Baking supplies and m&m's
    • Sugar
    • Flour
    • Honey
    • Brown Sugar
    • Baking Powder/Soda
    • Brewer's Yeast
    • Baking yeast
    • Nutritional Yeast
  • Hard Candies
  • A Berkey filter
  • Vitamins
  • Oatmeal
  • Yeast
  • Nutritional Yeast
  • Popcorn(Bulk)
  • Powdered Milk
  • Powdered Potato Flakes
  • Canned vegetables and Fruits
  • More rice
  • better bulk containers(We had 5 gallon buckets but no mylar)
  • Black Beans
  • Chickpeas
  • Dehydrated fruits-Cranberries, Raisins
  • Canned pie filling fruits
Other considerations:

  • Compost needs to go to larger scale
  • have raised bed supplies
  • When you have your own land, get a larger propane and gasoline storage
  • Candles in a container(like tea candles)
  • Sturdier flash lights and more long term batteries of all sizes
  • Develop relationship with local restaurants for scraps for compost and chicken feed
  • Vinegars
  • I did not have a proper bread pan(s)
  • Yogurt making setup
  • Canning supplies
  • When we get land, make a brick oven with a water purification add on and sand/charcoal filter
